Welcome to meet me somewhere.
This started as a place to organize my travel recommendations so I’d stop losing them in camera roll screenshots and half-remembered restaurant names. It’s turned into something a little bigger: a return to the version of myself who used to mess around with HTML on an early-2000s blog, before “content” was even a word anyone used.
I write about travel, food, books, and whatever else feels worth sharing: city guides, restaurant recs, reading lists, and the occasional personal essay. Some posts are practical (where to eat, what to skip, how to get a custom stamp made in Tokyo in under an hour). Others are more personal: grief, memory, the things travel brings up that you don’t expect.
Somewhere between algorithm fatigue and missing the days when a recommendation came from a person instead of a feed, I started this. If a list from someone whose taste you trust sounds better than another scroll through sponsored content, you’re in the right place.
I’m also building meet me somewhere into something bigger: a platform to save and share the places you’d actually recommend, with people whose taste you trust. More on that soon.
